		<description>well i think that if the government knew that the runway was too short it should never had been built. however, as it is it should be taken care of: expanded and given a 'radar' then comersial flights pakage and private flights could take off at the port. looking at plans of the airport it doesn't look too difficult to expand the runway and its main terminal building. as for the airtraffic controll building, it is pathetic. It must hold what? 5 people. when this airport was built it should have been prepared to be one of the buisiest in the world as that is what every airport needs wants. yours sincerly joseph heeley

		<description>Your facts are a little askew dont you think? Sheffields runway is 1200 metres long, 30 metres wide and has a height of 231 feet. Peel have recently announced its full closure.

It could do with someone to buy it from Peel and to run it properly...then it might have a future. At just eleven years old it seems fated to be ripped up to build factory units, warehouses and offices....as if there werent enough!</description>
