Sheffield city airportThe Sheffield City Airport is Sheffield’s first airport. It will be redeveloped so that the public could use it again.

Sheffield Airport is located in Sheffield, the biggest city in England. It can be found in the district of Tinsley. Compared to other airports, it is smaller in size but it has a complete facility. It has a Number P831 or CAA Ordinary License that allows public transportation.

Sheffield Airport is also authorized to teach and educate. Pilots can get their training from it. Aside from being a general aviation; it is also a helicopter center. People can have their pleasure and business trips via schedule. It has a runway length of 6693 ft. and a runway elevation of 550 ft. The airport was founded in 1997.

    Your facts are a little askew dont you think? Sheffields runway is 1200 metres long, 30 metres wide and has a height of 231 feet. Peel have recently announced its full closure.

    It could do with someone to buy it from Peel and to run it properly…then it might have a future. At just eleven years old it seems fated to be ripped up to build factory units, warehouses and offices….as if there werent enough!
